Throughout Saturday, you can enjoy Live Bands, Street Entertainers, Theatre Groups, Craft stalls, Sport Competitions (Football, Volleyball, Tug-of-War) Gladiator Games, Climbing wall, Fairground Rides, Euro Bungee. And then, the Sun-Run itself.

Conservation weekend 6-8 March 2009	This year we have a new venue!! We will be doing our hack and burn in the Sherwood Forestry District, and staying at Parker Lodge in Walesby Forest (see Lodges page of www.walesbyforest.org.uk ). As is traditional, the weekend will feature Steve'n'Barry's unique style of evening entertainments!

Summer Camp 2007 25 Aug - 2 Sept 2007	Cornwall. Place is oozing with activities. Fantastic programme booked. Over 16's 'pre-camp'.

World Scout Jamboree 27 July – 8 August 2007	The Centennial World Scout Jamboree will be held in the UK in 2007 (Chelmsford). The Jamboree will involve up to 40,000 Scouts aged 14 to 18 from around the world camping and 15,000 visitors a day. The Jamboree is larger than the Olympic Games with more people taking part from more countries, for longer.

Mozart's Requiem Sat 23 September 2006	Armonico Consort + Orchestra of the Swan will deliver a powerful and atmospheric performance of Mozart's Requiem 7:30pm, at St Mary's Church, Warwick. Children 16 or under, only £1 !! Adults £10/£14.50/£19:50
Barfly - Rock gig Wed 20 September 2006	Three fantastic rock bands play at the Barfly in Digbeth, with our friends the OCD on at 8pm. Age 14+
Rock climbing weekend 8-10 September 2006	Rock Climbing weekend at the Scout Mountaineering Centre in North Wales. The Hafod hostel, with bunk-rooms, common rooms, etc, is right amongst the rugged mountains of Snowdonia, with crags to climb on it's door-step. As well as the activity itself, these are good, sociable weekends.
Summer Camp 2006 25/27 Aug - 2nd Sept 2006	Summer Camp will be in Wales, near the Gower Peninsular where we’ll spend three afternoons surfing, and time on the beach. We’ll also go to Oakwood Theme Park (where there’s a wicked wooden roller-coaster), and do other activities such as climbing, abseiling, archery, air rifle shooting, orienteering, and the muddiest obstacle course this side of the known Universe. 1st response course Saturday 22 April 2006	Course will be run specially for Explorers. A must for anyone doing DofE expedition. Goff's 1-day 1st aid courses are excellent - he's a retired police-man with decades of experience, who delivers knowledge at maximum speed, without any time-wasting messing about, and in one session covers the Scout's "First Response" Syllabus plus everything else it's sensible to know as a scouter.

Monopoly Run 3-5 March 2006	Event for 14-25 year olds. Details on http://www.glne-scouts.org.uk/monopolyrun2006 Sociable event at THE national scout camp site on outskirts of London, with parties Fri & Sat night, and the excuse to travel round London being to take pictures of yourselves to prove you've visited all the locations on the Monopoly board. Will camp with other Explorers from the District.
Conservation weekend 24-26 February 2006	This year's indoor accomodation will be a lodge at Ferny Crofts Scout Centre, meaning as well as attacking the local rhododendron colony and making a BIG fire, we'll have access to e.g. high ropes course etc. All the usual ingredients & more for what has become a hugely popular annual event. Summer Camp pre-weekend 23-29 August 2004	Young Leaders / Explorers (over 16 years old only). Pre-summer-camp ultra-chilled weekend. Not all the beer got drunk at last years' summer camp, and had to be taken home. Hence this year the explorers/young leaders are invited to come two days' early to make sure that this gets done, and lots of fire wood gets burnt. Oh yeh, and the tents get pitched (we should just be able to squeeze this into a whole weekend). And maybe we find the best beach or fun-fair for the scouts.
